As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Thursday, March 2

1. Ventured out to Daejon with Steve from SLP in attempts to figure out this whole visa issue. Two hours later, one massive drive, and still no real answer… just more frustration.
2. “Look at the standing dong”… classic words said from Steve today as we watched a truck load of pooping pigs pass us on the highway.
3. Stopped by SLP to bring oatmeal for Shannon and it was great to see my former Wisdom students. I know Alice teacher will love them just like me and so that's comforting.
4. While waiting for my bus I overheard a plane above me and couldn't help but think of Dave and Louis. Today their planes left Korea. They've got such a long journey home and so I wish them both well. Korea is losing two men who definitely were embraced by its' people.
5. Turns out my supervisor at the Asan Education Board is more clueless than me in regards to this visa issue. Am I legal or not, that’s all I want to know. I won’t even mention the fact that his traveling instructions were brutal. I ended up in the middle of no where!

6. Traveled to my new school (the main one out of the three) and met all the teachers. Rumor has it the female teachers wanted an old fat girl and the male teachers wanted a young pretty girl… sorry ladies! Eumbong Middle School teachers rock!!!
7. My new co-teacher is amazing! Thanks for taking with the principle for me and getting Mr. Science Guy to carpool me to work!!!
8. First day at the new school and I already get called into the principle’s office! He’s so super sweet and I’m really looking forward to working for and with him. He’s the Richard Gere of Koreans! As a part of my grand welcome he took all us staff went out for dinner.
9. Jokes and more jokes with KBS (one of the Korean teachers). He tried so hard to practice his English on me. He claims we will be good friends because we’re close to age. We’re not close to age but he says I’ve made him younger already with all our giggles at the dinner table.

10. Apparently Ryan’s my business partner… he's been helping me out a lot with stuff concerning this new job and tonight, having him call my agent, Wonder Woman, helped relieve a lot of stress. Finally some answers!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How am I suppose to know you're job?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
