As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Wednesday, Match 8

1. Today I teach at an elementary school and so I got picked up from Eumbong Middle School by the Principle of Wollrang Elementary School.
2. Arrived at Wollrang and was under the assumption that I'd be teaching two grade 5 and two grade 6 classes.... what they didn't tell me was that I'd be teaching two English classes to one grade 5 class and than another 2 English classes to a grade 6 class.... so only TWO SEPARATE groups of kids. So my 40min lesson had to drag into another 40min with the same kids.
3. Turns out they've got a text book for each class too, which is the opposite of what they told me. Expect the unexpected right?....Hmm. My totally improvised lessons were a sucess though.
4. Took Ryan's advice and showed a more strict side of me as a teacher. Three girls insisted on writing letters and chatting in class so I surprised one of them by pulling on her chair and forcing her away from the table. I grabbed the note, ripped it up and changed their seats. I consider her lucky, yesterday at Eumbong I picked Timmy up like a child and moved him literally to another seat!
5. Wollrang principle is so sweet and I'm so relieved he speaks English. He drove me home after lunch so that I'd get to the airport on time.
6. Saw the nastiest thing on route to Incheon Airport. What was probably once a beautiful ocean front beach, now appeared to be one giant poop bowl!
7. Got toured around Incheon Airport and dragged through immigration because of my 5 day illegal status! Thanks to Wonder Woman and my Cheonan side-kick.... Min Young, the young stewardess who was assigned to help clean-up this immigration mess with me. Turns out she's from Cheonan too.
8. Ventured way out to Thailand with Wonder Woman and was greeted with a giant jolt to our bodies as the heat hit us in our winter clothing.
9. Original plans were to catch a glimpse of the Thai nightlife but that was a big flop. Apparently Thailand goes to sleep at 2am and we arrived at 3am.
10. Changed our double bed room to a twin bed room only to arrive and see twin beds side by side. Maybe they didn't understand us.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Where is everyone?
