As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Tuesday, July 11

1. Wow, not only did Homegirl Jenn update her blog (finally) but so did Andi and my new found friend Aimee too! Good stuff ladies. You all gave me lots to read today, thanks!
2. Met up with Grace’s mother for coffee to discuss my role as Grace’s new big sister. And let me tell you, she loved me and couldn’t stop telling me how smiley and pretty I am…. tell that to Ryan who calls me “Cranky Pants”!
3. Did some shopping at one of my favorite local stores where the girls let me practice my Korean and then offer me a discount for my efforts. Thanks ladies! Much love to the Koreans!
4. Finished off the first half of season one for “Sex and the City” and realized just how corrupt this TV show is. Not only does it portray Western women as drunk, sleazy, easy women, but their use of such “creative” English is really not what I want Ryan to be learning. I’m not his mother but oh my gosh!
5. After what seems like months of not going to the gym, I arrived today and was greeted by an overly hyper and smiley River.
6. River totally exaggerated that he missed me and acted like a paparazzi by taking random photos of me on his cell phone as we trained together. He said he wanted to take my picture just in case I went “missing” again… funny guy!
7. River definitely got me back for my absence by giving me a killer back workout that left me wanting to pass out in exhaustion but giggling till I got side cramps.
8. Looks like I’ve got another gym buddy… Kim Un Hyun, or at least that’s what I think her name is. We both had a good laugh in the change room as we tried to speak in each other’s language.
9. See I told you he was trouble… let’s refer to him as “Trouble Boy”. I’m on to his sneaky ways and the fact that he’s really not cool with just being a friend. If he’s looking for more than he’s definitely going for the wrong girl! I’m not even flattered anymore at this point.
10. Ryan and I have agreed to not eat after 9pm. He thinks he’s putting on weight; I think he’s looking better than ever. However, we agreed to try out this new rule. The rule went into effect tonight and no sooner did it go into effect than I broke it with our trip to LotteMart on an empty stomach. Ha, ha, ha.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What do you really want?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
All human actions have one or more of these seven causes: chance, nature, compulsions, habit, reason, passion, desire.

Hey! I added your blog to my sidebar. I hope it's okay; adding it without your consent--shameful, I know!
Good luck with the not eating after 9 thing; looks like you're going to need it--ha ha! I have been trying to not eat after 6 but, well, it doesn't always work out so well. (~_^)
