As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Monday, August 21

1. Ventured out to Seoul to meet up with Ryan and got stuck sitting to the one loud talker on the bus who apparently everyone was ticked off with. It was rough sitting beside her while everyone gave her the evil eye. She was clueless.
2. Find it amusing that Ryan claims Seoul is THE place to be and yet was so hesitant as to what we should do today, so we shopped. When in Seoul, shop!
3. Found out that there’s a shopping mall in Seoul that’s open 24 HOURS… and just our luck, the one day it’s closed is Monday!
4. Our last shopping quest was successful (search for a watch) and so today we started a new search; a search for a trendy wallet I saw last time we were here. No luck though
5. Word has it my butt is too big for any of these cheap Calvin Klein reject bottoms that these street sellers were trying to pond off on me. I’m sorry but I’ve got news for you, I’d hate to burst your bubble but judging by the sizes of the women walking around here (me being the only foreigner), the average size is A LOT bigger than mine. One question… who are you trying to fool?
6. Got in trouble by some television crewmember who really didn’t think it too funny that I had taken a picture of their set. Totally didn’t know I wasn’t allowed though.
7. BRAIN FREEZE!!! Ate patbing-soo (ice cream on ice chips with various fruits) and got overly excited. Suffered numerous jolts of brain freeze… ha, ha, ha.
8. Totally shocked to see that homegirl Jenn FINALLY updated her blog! She’s gone and seems like cause we’re out of sight, we’re out of mind.
9. We shopped, we dropped, and so we bought our bus tickets and headed back to Cheonan where we were then greeted by the security officer of my building. Turns out two packages came in the mail for me! Awesome! Thanks to my mom and Bobby-B for the great birthday presents.

10. Sat back, relaxed, and ate Kraft dinner macaronni and cheese... courtesy of my mom! Thanks mom! Kraft dinner has never tasted so good as it did tonight!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Where will we be in a few years from now?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.
