As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Saturday, August 26

1. Note to ALL men… never give a woman a 10 minute warning and expect her to be ready or happy about it! That’s exactly what I woke up to today… a 10 minute warning from Ryan saying that he and his two buddies are coming over! So much for starting my Saturday on a relaxing note.
2. Well any possible plans with Ryan today were a bust. He was terribly sick today and I think he’s developed some kind of allergy. He spent the whole day sleeping.
3. After a three hour hair salon visit I ventured back to see how Ryan was doing and he was totally oblivious to the fact that I just got my hair dyed and highlighted. Guys never seem to notice these details.
4. With a map in hand and money in my pocket, I decided to head out on my own to find a Subway Sandwich restaurant. It turned out to be quite an adventure too, go figure. I guess my adventure was taking too long and so Ryan called all concerned. I was having too much fun chatting it up with the taxi driver.
5. Yesterday I sent out a mass email greeting card to a select group of people back in Canada whom I haven’t heard from for awhile. I was curious as to how many of them have actually dropped off the face of this planet. Here’s what I found out…
a. Out of 38 people emailed, only 21 people opened the email.
b. Out of the 21 who opened the email, 15 of them visited my blog.
c. Moreover, out of 21 people who opened the email, only 5 people wrote back. (Even my own mother didn’t respond!)
d. Out of those 5 people who wrote back, 2 of them added a comment on my blog.
e. Out of the 2 people who added a comment on my blog, only 1 person had actually signed the guest book!
6. Thinking of bribing people with candy to sign my guest book, just joking. But, between the lack of people signing something I so eagerly created and worked on (guest book), and the lack of people’s concern with keeping in touch (via the phone or email), I am really hesitant on whether life in Canada was really all I thought it was cracked up to be!
7. Realized that besides Andi and some other select individuals, what I miss most about Canada is not the people but instead is the places. Sure, we all have our reasons and excuses but it doesn’t mean that I have to like it.
8. Today I definitely had too much time on my hands and so yes, I admit, I allowed my mind get the best of me today. I sat around the house daydreaming and pondering too much.
9. Snapped out of it and attempted to watch a movie with Ryan. We were 20 minutes into the movie and then Ryan decided he couldn’t stay awake any longer and so he was out for the rest of the night.
10. Discovered how to add music to my blog’s background! Awesome… okay, so I’m a little bit too excited about this little event.

Good grief! Sometimes I think Ryan and SG are twins (maybe 10 years apart?) who were separated at birth. Shy and somewhat anti-social? Completely unobservant? Sleeps all day? Yes, yes, & yes! Okay so maybe they're not related they're just. . .Korean men! :oP
