As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Boxing is like ballet, or so Handey stated. My mother (along with many others), on the other hand, considers it to be overly barbaric and unsightly violent.... maybe that's why I like it so much, there's risk involved.

It looked like you were wailing on a slow fat kid. Is she really a boxer too? Looked too easy :P

I agree with you saying boxing is like a ballet of sorts. I always say it's also like a chess match only physical. I thought you did a great job with your jabs. You are very fast Amy with your jabs and like I've told you also they don't have to be hard but if you get them in the same spot they do damage as her bloody nose proves. I haven't gotten or given ( heh heh) one of those yet but have gotten enough swollen lips from my sparring. Great job Amy. I'm rooting for you in your fight.

Hey Bman,
Hahaha... ya, she's also a boxer and not a kid. She's a 26 year old amateur boxer. I know we're on two different levels but we were also sparring on two different levels. She had no real restrictions whereas I was mainly trying to focus on weaving and body shots.

Yo Beth,
Exactly... that's what so many people don't know. Consistancy with the jabs can be just as effective as a strong jab!
Thanks for rooting for me... I'm rooting for me too... hahaha.

Hi Boy Toy,
Oh, if it isn't my favorite Whitbtonian (besides my father that is)!!! Thanks sweety.
I can't make any promises but I'll be sure to give my effort and give you great news on your birthday!!!
