As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

I heart you Crest... Sunday, July 4

To me, the best thing since slice bread is my husband... obviously [enter your "Oh make me gag" comments here"], but today I traveled about an hour for sliced bread. Over-priced whole wheat bread to be exact.

Today we headed off to Costco and loaded up on some Western goodies.

Still no sign of Crest toothpaste. I refuse to give up on the sad looking tube of Crest that sits super skinny in my bathroom. I've even gone so far as to cut it open and expose it's inside so that I can scrap out some remaining paste. Pretty sad, I know.

I made a list of goodies I want to pick up in Canada.
My Canadian Shopping List
NyQuil
Vicks cough syrup
Whey protein shake mix
natural peanut butter
Crest toothpaste
sinus medicine
Clearasil
Oxygen fitness magazines
Clean Eating magazines
Tim Horton's coffee
Shake N' Bake
vanilla extract
protein bars
Animal Pak vitamins
Maybelline mascara
a new kong for Mi Nam
a new collar for Mi Nam
whole wheat tortillas
Pam pan spray
brown rice
Junior Mint and a sponsor has been keeping our kitchen shelves packed with various things like creatine, herbal medicines, and meal replacements but I've convinced Snickers to only take the creatine and my vitamins -- Animal Pak. Animal Pak is a container of individually wrapped doses of vitamins. There's 11 pills to a pack. Both Snickers and I take two packs a day, one in the morning and one after boxing. I've always been all for taking a vitamin but I'm loving Animal Pak because with my current clean eating and Snickers' game dieting, it's obvious we need extra vitamins, minerals, and what not that our eating styles aren't providing us. Animal Pak is definitely not cheap, nor is importing it in from the States. Time to stock up!!!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What's the next best thing since sliced bread for you?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Water is the most neglected nutrient in your diet but one of the most vital.
