As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Too Much Gas... Friday, June 2

Today an unexpected special delivery came knocking on my door. It was from LPG Gas.

The other day Snickers and I got the strangest of strange phone calls from them. They called to tell us we had won one of their grand prizes. We hadn’t entered any kind of contest, so this came as rather odd news to us.

A new LPG Gas station just opened down the street from where we live and, for the most part, that’s where we’ve been getting our gas. A tank of gas in our car, and our scooter for that matter, lasts quite a while. We fill up our car maybe once every 1-2 weeks, so a trip to the gas station is not a routine thing needless to say. Anyways, LPG apparently had this big lottery contest going on, totally unknown to us, and with every four fill-ups using your LPG membership card they put your name into the draw.

Get this, despite always forgetting our LPG Gas card at home, we’ve used it EXACTLY four times… and WE WON!!!

Honestly, we thought it was kind of joke when they called us to tell us the news but then Snickers looked up LPG Gas on the Internet and there was his name written along with the select other winners. Then today they sent us a massive banner for us to pass on to the particular LPG Gas station we go to.

So, naturally, you’re probably wondering what we won, right?!

We won 1,600,000won ($1,400 CDN) worth of free gas and food!!!

They loaded up our LPG Gas card to the brim with points galore that are redeemable at both LPG Gas and Emart. In terms of gas, that’d last a life time at the rate our car goes through gas but in terms of food, I’m guessing that’d last us about 3-4 months. No complaints here; we’ll take it. Free food… free gas…. bring it on!!!

I joked with Snickers after, telling him he can forget thinking about a part time job if he keeps this up. Just this past year alone not only has he scored a free car and now 1,600,000won worth of free food and gas, but every other week he seems to come home with bags of food, he scored about 300,000won worth of medicine last week, yesterday he was given a 100,000won bottle of creatine, and I can't even begin to count how many times he's come home with massive full-sized cow limbs for his father to make soup out of--- sounds nasty, I know, hence why I make him store these body parts at K-Gere's house!!! I've never been one to believe in luck but dang, it's like he's got a golden horse shoe stuck up his you-know-where!!!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Do you feel lucky?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Depend on the rabbit's foot if you will, but remember it didn't work for the rabbit.
