As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Times Are Changing... Saturday, August 28

I’ve only been back in Korea now for a couple of days but already the ball is rolling and times are changing.
-- Snickers was offered a fight in Australia but with it being but only a week away he declined it.
-- My gas company language group got canceled.
-- Tutoring at Samsung is now scheduled five days a week at a shocking 6:20am.
-- Yet another boxer shot-gun wedding may be in the planning.
-- Pressure on me to pop out a baby is back on as a result of Mama Kim dreaming of a snake – apparently that signifies the birth of a boy. To me, a snake signifies evil… very fitting in this situation… hahaha.
-- Snickers has started to study Japanese, in addition to English, as he pursues a possible work proposition in Japan.
-- Got offered a possible personal training position and am stoked about it.
-- Wishful thinking of moving to the Philippines may be more long term than just the anticipated three months.
-- Mouse Doctor broke up with his girlfriend and has apparently replaced her with a golden retriever.
-- K-Gere and his girlfriend are house-hunting, meaning he may be getting married soon and moving out of Cheonan.

I miss Canada like a much needed arm or leg but missing it and holding on to good times I had but only a couple of days ago isn't going to help me readjust to life in Korea. Days have been quiet so far, just basically lounging around the house with Snickers, but I am happy to note that I am back on track with my running and Monday I'll be back at boxing.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What will next month bring?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
The universe is change; our life is what our thoughts make it.
