As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Come Walk with Me... Sunday, September 26

When I'm not at Ggum Guum (home) or the boxing club (my home-away from home), I'm usually out at the Dankook Lake... running or on walking dates with Snickers.

Today I headed out to Dankook to take some snap shots of the path I religiously run around the lake for you all to see. One lap is 2.3kms and when it's late at night and I'm pushing to do that extra lap, it's hard to enjoy just how beautiful the scenery around it really is.

As you'll be able to tell by the following pictures, the path is anything but just a path. Instead, it's loaded with various outdoor activities to participate in. There's badminton, basketball and kickball courts, numerous weight training stations, and there's even a rollerskating rink. Benches and picnic areas are plentiful, as are many good places to fish.

Running in the evening tends to be a tad bit difficult in that the path is bombarded with couples on dates, families out for strolls, sports enthusiasts out playing, and other runners.

I avoided the heat today by running later in the evening. It wasn't until after 9pm that I headed out to run but by then the path activity was booming. I was itching to get in a good long run. Ran 17kms tonight... sweet!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What do you love to do?
