As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Cooking Up a Storm... Thursday, September 2

Thought I’d welcome Snickers back to Ggum Guum with a plate of warm chocolate cookies. He’s been gone for a couple of days of farming with uncle, so he’s been working like a slave and basically eating like a slave too.

The plan was to bake up massive chocolate cookies but I ran into a problem. Apparently my chocolate chips went MIA, so I had to improvise. No problem. What started off as being calorie and carb-packed sinful chocolate chip cookies turned into protein-packed, ultra healthy chocolate cookies. Using chocolate protein and subbing other various ingredients worked like a charm.

To Snickers however, they smelt better than they tasted. They tasted more like shortbread cookies and he seemed a bit disappointed when his lips failed to find any chocolate chips in his chocolate cookies.

I thought they tasted great though.

Next on my head to try attacking in the kitchen was a recipe I found randomly in an old Oxygen Fitness Magazine – tuna curry wraps. Let me just say this, it was PURE DELISH!!! Oddly enough, it was a mixture of strange combos that included apple, yogurt, and mustard. Ne

My tuna curry wraps got a thumbs up from Snickers but Mi Nam scored one of my chocolate cookies after Snickers literally threw his out the window… hahaha.

Found another curiously interesting recipe -- oatmeal pizza. Ya, I'll be trying that next week!!!
