As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

The Countdown is On Baby... Tuesday, September 28

47 days until I run a half marathon in Seoul, South Korea!!!

With less than a week till Snickers is MIA for three damn long months, I've been trying to pack my schedule up with things to distract me -- new tutoring jobs, a new personal training client, new fitness goals, new tasks to take on, a new training schedule and routine, and even new friends. However, taking on a new pet is not one thing I'd like to do -- sorry Old Rock but no, I don't want your cat.

At 11pm Snickers got a phone call from his job contact in Japan. Tomorrow they'll be buying him his Japan plane ticket. It's bad enough that he won't be here for three long months but he might not be home for Christmas.

Basically, my plan is to drown myself in my boxing, training and tutoring. It's going to be rough.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What's so good about "goodbye"?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
I crazy will missing you.
-- Snickers

Really really sorry about Sneakers'leaving :(
You're strong anyway and you two guys we'll be soon together again..u know, sometime days pass very fast when you desire something. At least it always happens to me. Usally people say, when u struggle yourself with the desire of having something/somebody soon the time always goes slowly! But with me this never happens. Hope the same could be with you.
By the way, what kind of job is Sneakers starting? (sorry I am a curious monkey girl..)
Stay cool Amy. Cheers.

Hi Fabi,
Thanks... I still can't believe he's leaving, and for sooooo long. I'm hoping the days fly by, that's the plan and that's the whole purpose behind me filling up my schedule with work and training.
A curious monkey... hahahaha... cute. Snickers got asked to go with a buddy of his to work on a fishing boat, oddly enough. He'll be on the boat for three months and only anticipates stopping briefly on land once or twice a month for a day, which means very limited chances of he and I staying in contact. Through that into the whole equation and it equals three brutal months!!!

Hi Amy,
I'm sure you'll miss your hubby but as you stated you'll concentrate on your boxing, training and tutoring. The time will go fast for you. I'm glad you are entering that run. I've been running a bit more trying to increase my stamina.
You are always an inspiration there girl! :)

Hey Beth,
Oh ya!!! I miss him already and he's sitting but only an inche or two away from me as I'm typing. I'm hoping that by keeping myself busy with boxing, training and tutoring that yes, time will fly by.
Good to hear you're running some more. I find it really helps build up my endurance in the ring and it's a sure way to drop body fat!!!
