As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Rock-a-bye Baby... Wednesday, September 1

Getting to bed at a reasonable time is not a problem, it’s waking up early that’s the problem.

With my tutoring now at the crazy hour of 6:20am, not even the crack of dawn in my world but definitely related to crack, as in pure crazy, I’ve been trying to get in a morning run. A morning run means being dressed and out the door by 4:20am. It’s only happened once this week.

Snickers had headed out to his uncle’s house to help harvest his farm, so I had no distractions to distract me from hitting the sack early. No sooner did I doze off though a massive rain storm hit Cheonan. I don’t think rain storm correctly labels what the heck came down upon us here. A crazy Mother NatureTyphoon is more like what went down.

I awoke to the rain but it was the loud crashing of God-knows-what outside my window that got me out of bed. Next it was the sound of Mi Nam whining. I should note here that beside the grunting Mi Nam is notorious for, he never barks or makes a peep. Up to the roof top patio I rushed, where I found Mi Nam lying under one of the extra wooden doors my neighbor had put on the roof for the time being. I take it the wind had picked it up and thrown it into Mi Nam’s living corridors.

My poor little scared Mi Nam.

He wasn’t hurt but I felt scared for him, so I scooped him up and insisted I take him into the apartment with me. He of course was all too happy to join me in the coziness of Ggum Guum. We both were pretty soaked to the bone. After a quick shower I made a little bed for him and threw down one of my sweaters on it for him to get all cozy in.

I feel asleep to his snoring just like old times.

Hi Becca,
Well he's not much of a puppy anymore. I think in dog years he's pretty much an adult... hahaha.
Ya, it was great to hang out in the house with him again. I tried to cover all signs and evidence of him being in the house by doing a mad clean up after and what not but Snickers still found out. Apparently I'm not good at keeping secrets... lol.
