As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing... Tuesday, September 14

Not much to write about today. Today I didn’t have tutoring but I did have yet another day of my university temp job, working 9am to 6pm. My boss was out of the office today, leaving both me and the only other teacher scrambling to put together the pieces of what appears to be an overly chaotic mess. I finally did score a desk though, at the expense of taking over my boss’s desk that is.

Out of pure boredom, I calculated that given the fact that my office is on the 3rd floor and my classroom is on the 1st and with each start and finish of the six classes a day I teach, I climb 640 stairs a day at work in high heels.

Later in the evening I sat down with Snickers and weighed out the pros and cons of this job and talked about how they differ than the ones I initially expected before agreeing to this position. Just because my job is at a university doesn't mean anything. It's like a wolf in sheep's clothing. It being at a university is just a mask for a very typical hagwon position and that's exactly what it is.

Called up my boss to talk about it and she was rather intoxicated, nice.

Tomorrow I am going to quit my job.
