As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Exactly 90 Days and 90 Nights... Sunday, October 3

He's gone. Snickers is gone and I've spent the last week with practically on the verge of crying at the anticipation of him leaving. He flies back to Korea on January 2nd, exactly 90 days and 90 nights later. He'll miss Christmas, New Year's Eve, and all the things between today and January 2nd, like my first half marathon and helping me learn how to ace driving Gotti (my new scooter).
I haven't posted anything the past couple of days because I've been overly distracted. I headed out to Seoul the other day to do some shopping with a new friend and besides talking my head off about Snickers I ended up buying things for him. I bought him the perfect present for him to take to Japan. It's a book, titled "I Love Only You".

It's blank pages have but only simple random cartoon drawings of a cat and dog on t on my list of things to do was to fill the pages with pictures and writing.

30-some letters and another 30-some photos later, I finally filled the pages of the book. Some of the letters are oozing with sappines while others are flat-out silly or couple-only rated. He's going to love it.

We had a whole list of random things to do before he left for Japan so that kept us pretty busy.
Saturday I took Gotti out for a spin around town. A couple of laps on the bike path was I could work myself up to do cause downtown traffic is brutal. Regardless, Snickers was overly stoked about it and allowed me bragging rights for doing 80 on the path. The helmet we bought online is big enough to spin while on my head, so we had to get another. It's expected to come on Monday or Tuesday.
With Sunday being our last day together for the next three months, Snickers wanted us to get our picture taken. The first photographer's studio we stepped in was a total bust but the second guy was good. We've got our photos done by him before, both for Snickers' Philippines fight and for my fight game poster.
After Snickers left tonight, it was coming up to 8:30pm. I tried to keep myself busy by planning my new training schedule and preparing for tomorrow's new tutoring gigs that will be starting up.
Three months with no Snickers.... this is going to flat out suck.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Who needs absence when I'm already the fondest to you?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
