As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

I must admit that it's sometimes intimidating to have a husband who has a wickedly sick six pack that never seems to go away despite eating ice cream and that awful Korean ramine, but I'm trying to get my own six pack going on.

The picture on the left was taken a couple of months ago but the peek of my abs came when I dropped mad weight for one of my fight's last year when I had to weigh-in at 47kgs.

Hey Amy,
All I can say is WoW, you look great in those shots. You don't have a six pack? Not what I'm seeing. :) Seriously I think you have great body tone and it's perfect for boxing. Your husband probably does work on it but he has the genes or something to get the six pack going. I want to save these pictures of you for when I work out and try to get more tone. You said you envy me having a loyal sparring partner and you are right. I learn from her even when I get stung from her fast jabs. I'd love to anticipate them better but I have to keep trying right?
Keep up your training there girl. :)

Hey Beth,
Ya, no six pack yet but am getting there. Thanks for your CONTINUAL super cool, ultra flattering comments and encouragement!!!
Yes, you have to keep on trying. Remember EVERYTHING is a learning experience so take from it what you can. You are a better boxer today than you were yesterday.
