As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Being Sick is No Fun... Tuesday, January 18

I'm sick.

Snickers is sick, too.

We're one sick couple... literally.

I woke up from an afternoon nap with quite the stiff neck. I'm in so much pain right now it's not even funny. I'm not sure whether I slept strange or what but I'm feeling like I'm suffering from whiplash, minus any kind of accident. As for Snickers, he's got a bad cold. It'll pass in a couple of days but with his fight being a month away he can't really afford to take a day off training.

The bonus with me doing private tutoring is that I call the shots on whether I want to work. Taking off a day here or there isn't a problem but then again, I don't get paid for days off of work. Tuesdays and Thursdays I only tutor one hour so with it being a Tuesday I took the day to nurse my sore neck and hope it'll pass by tomorrow. Tomorrow I tutor 6.5 hours.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Any secret cold remedies you'd like to share?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Safeguard the health both of body and soul.
