As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

In a Blink of an Eye... Thursday, April 7

I didn't mention this in yesterday's posting but yesterday's field trip ended on a sad note. The daycare's private bus hit an elderly woman who had decided at last minute to jet out into traffic. I won't go into the details of it all but will say that it's believed that she didn't make it. I didn't comment about it yesterday, for various reasons, but today it weighed heavy on my mind and swallowed up my thoughts as I sat on a bus destined for Cheonan.

Life can change in the blink of an eye and so many things we so carelessly do can ultimately change our life forever.

Scary stuff if you really think about it.

I thought about this old lady -- she's probably someone's grandmother -- and I thought about all the family and friends' lives who will forever be changed. She was but just one person and this world being minus her will have a rippling effect, changing the lifes of those dear to her. I didn't even know her and yet I spent a good chunk of my bus ride home thinking about her. Needless to say, arriving back at the Cheonan bus terminal I was more than happy to step out of the bus and see Snickers waiting for me. It felt so good to have yet another beautiful day with him, ultimately my favorite person in the whole entire world.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...

What would you do over if you could redo today?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...

Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery but today is a gift, thats why it's called the present.
