Found out the REAL story.
Apparently that dog that Snickers bought for Wonder Boys' new car shop in Suwon was in fact a gift TO Snickers -- a gift given by a friend who thought he'd let Snickers pick out his own gift.
"Thanks" I say, "Now who exactly do I have to kick in the head?" I added.
I found out this key part in the whole story last night. Snickers followed through with a long sad look at me and milked his puppy-dog eyes in his attempts to smooth things over with me. I wasn't angry but I definitely wasn't interested in having that beast of fur come join our cozy Ggum Guum life.
I'm a sucker for Snickers though and after much talking I agreed to let the dog stay with us for the weekend but only account that I agreed it needed some training. Because of the fact that Snickers' dog Pyun Chi was bought at the same time the other two were none of the three puppies know their names and they're quite wild in manner.
Apparently I'm on puppy manner-control this weekend. Consequently, Pyun Chi arrived at Ggum Guum tonight and neither Mi Nam nor I was particulary interested in her. She's about two months old now and weighs-in at 9kg but when she reaches full grown size she'll be 60kgs... yikes!!! The Korean translation for the name of her breed is "lion dog" and that definitely sums up what she is. She's a beast of fur and I really don't like long haired dogs. To me, long hair means easy dirty, easy smelly, and lots of shedding, none of which interest me at all. Mi Nam is more interested in her than I am though. "Don't get too comfortable with her" I told him, "In a couple of months you could be a meal to her!"
I set up newspapers on the kitchen floor and I am determined to have her paper trained by the end of this weekend. I found out pretty quickly though just how small her bladder is -- she pees practically every hour on the hour!!!
Her new title I've made for her is Pyun Chi the Pee Master Beast of Fur... hahaha.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Will she ever grow on me?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
I think we are drawn to dogs because they are the uninhibited creatures we might be if we weren't certain we knew better.
-- George Bird Evans
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
