As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Punching the Pounds Away... Saturday, December 15

Today I was really, really proud of all my boxercise gals.  I weigh them in every time they train, updating their Boxercise Measurement file that monitors their measurements and gives them a realistic and appropriate weight goal based on body fat.  Well, one-by-one today they stepped up on the boxing club scale and then one-by-one they stood ringside and let me measure them.  I noticed the difference in their numbers but it didn't really hit me until I got home and calculated their body fat percentages.

WOW!!!... together they dropped 8% in body fat, that's AWESOME!!!  That's 8% since last weigh-in which for most of them was last week.... ya, see.... WOW!!!  Props to them.

Weight is such an emotional thing, more so than just a physical thing I find, and it's been really interesting to note their individual journey towards dropping it and getting healthier.
