As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Finally met my new nephew face-to-face as many of my Korean in-laws and I met to celebrate my sister-in-law's last supper.  Tomorrow she's "getting cut open", as my mother-in-law bluntly put it.  Yes, she's "getting cut open" because she's having a baby and it's just way too big apparently -- 5kg.
[side note here, telling a gal that someone's "getting cut open" is an alternative but very effective means of birth control!!!]
I haven't held a baby since my old brother's first daughter, about 7 years ago now.  I try to stay away from holding babies too for the simple fact that I don't really know how to hold them; they're too fragile for me.  But this little guy, woozers, he's a stuffed butter ball chicken but a squirmy one, so I sat there squeezing him.
Snickers, on the other hand, he was a pure natural.  "Don't get use to this", I warned him.

Lunch was with the family but wasn't entirely all about the new baby and popping out babies.  Both my sister-in-laws are very successful entrepreneurs so it's great to pick their brain about business start up stuff.
After all our chatting, it was time to get back to real business -- the business of sketching out our boxing club floor plan -- so off to the location we headed.
