As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Super Packed Beautiful Birthday

I'm convinced Karma, whomever she may be, visited me on my birthday and was the first to send me birthday cheer via three Pesky Parkers who provided me with some entertainment to go with my breakfast.
Note here the two guys are the drivers of the two cars pined in by the truck.
"Do you know karma?"  I asked them, "THIS [pointing to the three vehicles and our massive sign] is karma!"
I was asked if I wanted the day off but refused to.  I do what I do because I love it -- I love my job.
Note the mini Hulkie and the tall blond Hulkie talking.  Where else are you going to see such a contrast of characters, both of which are super cool and quite the boxing fans?!  Exactly.
Kicked off my birthday with boxing and then a crossfit class.
On Wednesdays we train abs and I love ab training, perhaps more so than legs and well that's a lot of love.
A birthday visit from my former teammate Panty Boy Jr, the bad boy of boxing and former welter and super welter weight champion, was a sweet surprise.  He sat and watched as I finished up my training.
[Note Snickers' pants here -- super soaked from training.  He's took our "body shopping" conversation from the other week seriously and is working very hard on achieving his goal body.  Good for him.]
Love gifts like this, gifts that are TOTALLY spot on with what's totally me.
Just the other month I had dropped word in a conversation with some members that I was looking to pick up a new multi-vitamin and today another Hulkie surprised me with some... awesome!!!
Another Hulkie bought me a couple of packages of chestnuts and then one of my sister-in-laws showed up with a massive cake for us to all indulge in... yummy.
Ended up stopping everyone from training so that together we can enjoy some chat and down time together.
But no sooner had the cake been inhaled then it was back to hard training and breaking a sweet sweat.
My two most influential men in my business enjoying cake
-- my husband/business partner and our club's main sponsor/business mentor.
And here's me with my favourite person in the entire world... who just happens to be my husband, business partner and coach (among the many other labels he's earned in my life).
This is me, I am now 34 years old.  I wasn't so eager to become 34 but I just didn't want to be 33 anymore, something about the double same digit 3-3.  I will say though that I'm very much eager about turning 35 next year.  I've got big plans for this year and 35 has always been regarded as my "prime".

I vouch that just because I'm getting older that I don't have to slow down.  I'm very much loud and proud of being 34 and consequently my training clothes reflect that.  Today, zebra pants and my "Move your booty" tank top kept me feeling and looking young but my 80's wrist band is helping me strongly represent us 80 babies.
Members were done training early tonight which left us with just enough time to get in a late night birthday dinner with three special men -- my husband, my main sponsor, and a good friend.

I made sure we got back to Hulk's before midnight on account that I wanted some time to celebrate my birthday with my four-legged friends.  I had promised them some of my birthday cake.
This picture right here, definitely the cutest part of my day.
Upon presenting some cake to my pups and insisting they sit before they eat, Pyen Chi could hardly contain her excitement and kept on bopping her bum up and down.  She was just too excited... and too cute.
Cake for everyone and I mean EVERYONE.  This year's birthday cake fed a packed club full of members plus my 3 four-legged friends, AND I kept two large pieces for some select members tomorrow.
