As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Always Something to Note

Notice anything strange in this picture?!  Here's a hint, look at the two guys sitting.
Here's a bigger hint, look at the guy who is NOT sitting.
Today was supposed to be my day off training but that got cancelled on account of this.
Additional training came with the arrival of new weights that needed unpacking and some exercise balls that needed blowing up.  Snickers had driven out to An Sung to pick them up on his supposedly "day off", which as you can guess, is never really a true day off.
And with the day of his "day off" coming to an end and night coming upon us, it was back to work for Snickers with him stepping in the ring for our weekly Sparring Day.
It's pretty awesome to see who participates and just how much they're improving.
Our amateur boxer Kato has a fight this month so tonight we let Mouse Doctor step in the ring with him.  Mouse Doctor isn't so much as a good boxer as he is a wild street fighter so tonight's sparring challenge was definitely a wild one.
