As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Signature Gloves have Arrived!!!

Our official signature sample gloves arrived today!  They were personally delivered by the two sales reps from the Pakistani company we're dealing with, very cool.

Note how Snickers' right hand glove is blurry. That's because no sooner did our Hulkie snap this picture for us but then he whacked me one in the head, to "test it out" he said.  Nice, real nice.

As super excited as I was about the much anticipated arrival of our signature gloves, which I must note are way cooler than cool, I had to sit down here because I was working on a big order for supplies and the figure I kept on coming up with was rather, how do I say this, painful.
What I used to make in an average month back in the day -- teaching at the university plus royalties from my boxing -- I just spent tonight in ordering supplies for our club... ouch.  I know it takes money to make money but we don't call Mondays here Money Mondays because of this!!!
