As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Slow, Slow Black Sheep... Wednesday, November 13

Four of the six first drop items for Baa Baa Black Sheep have been created but there are some minor flaws still being worked on.  My manufacturer still hasn't located the material needed for the unisex pants and the leggings so that's a bit frustrated.  I'm tempted to either search it out myself or pick up a whack of material when I visit Canada this Christmas.

[Still haven't bought my ticket for Canada so can't confirm I'm actually going... urghhh.]

I'm busy working on the website but am now looking to revamp it, get a male model and a female model to pose with the items on and possibly be my own photographer for that shoot.  I'm also leaning towards getting a possible, dare I say it, influencer to wear my items and help generate hype for it because I'm having to drop mad cash for the first production of it.

Minimum order is 50 pieces per item... ouch.

It takes money to make money, seriously.  Truth 101.

Throw in the mad stash of cash I'm sending to my new manufacturer in China for my new glove, and yeah, lots of money out.  It's ridiculous and it's stressful but I know my gloves for a fact are really good so I have faith they'll be a hit.  Being a hit really isn't the problem.  The problem is getting them out there for new clients to discover them.  Right now they're only sold on my website, www.EmpoweredClubhouse.com, and my Baa Baa Black Sheep items will be sold on a separate website.  I haven't yet finalized that site nor have I made public the items just yet.  It's all a lot of work and yes, more money.  Website domain names and e-commerce websites have price tags attached to them.  Like I said, it makes money to make money.
