As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Saturday, September 16

1. Woke up extra early just in case plans for today (attending the wedding with Ryan) were back on. No such luck though... that TOTALLY sucked and you have NO idea. But anyway, congrats to the Yoon family for, what I'm only left guessing, will be a beautiful wedding.
2. Talk about total self-motivation. Refused to mope around the house and so instead I went into super training mode! Ha, ha, ha. I went for a 30 minute run in the pouring ran and then did stairs. Started from the basement level 3 and busted my butt up to the 20th floor and then back down. Run Forrest, run!!! Ha, ha, ha!
3. Showered up and then hit the gym a couple hours later for more training. Training at the gym today wasn’t as productive as my run and stairs in the morning though but it was good. It was good cause at least it got me out of the house, my mind off of things, and I got to see my buddies.

4. Chatted it up with Kim Tae, my new friend (thanks to Byung Hyuk). The “close friend” count is now up to three… oh,.. watch out!
5. Byung Hyuk showed up late for training and he didn’t really train when I was there. Instead, we chatted and joked around about some English phrase book he got out of a cereal box. Man… they REALLY need to get native English speakers for editing these books. Brutal!
6. Came home and headed out to Songtan where I was once again smuggled into the club (they still have their silly “anti-Canadian” rule). At first they weren’t going to let me in and so Greg told them that I was his wife… nice. That definitely made for some interesting conversations among us two and them later on in the evening! Ha, ha, ha!
7. Got approached by this cute guy, Yong Chan, who was curious about the Korean marking on my neck. And so I, thinking he probably didn’t really understand English, told him I was part Korean so that I didn’t have to deal with a predictable confusing conversation. Turns out his English is awesome and so he was all curious about who in my family was Korean… oh gosh!
8. We were all about having a good time but apparently Yong Chan didn’t know how to dance and so I offered to be a kind of dancing teacher to him. It was so funny cause he totally has two left feet! Ha, ha, ha.
9. Low and behold, I also ran into Darnell while I was there. I haven’t talked to him in almost two months and so it was rather an intense conversation tonight. Our argument ended with me punching the wall and him taking off. I thought he had gone in the bathroom and so I went in after him. Chicken… I think he went out the back door.
10. Despite my opinion of Trouble Boy, he ended up being my hero tonight with calming me down. I don’t know why I waste my time on some people…. you just never really know people though I guess.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How do you define "friend"?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Golf is a lot of walking, broken up by disappointment and bad arithmetic.
