As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Sunday, October 1

1. Tomorrow is the BIG day! I am going to Everland with my school in the early morning but then I have to leave and go to surgery... I am so nervous!
2. Shim-shim hae....all day. (for those non-Korean speakers out there... it means "I am bored).
3. Strolled over to LotteMart and picked up a gift for Mr. P.E. Teacher, seeing as it's Chusuk this week and he does drive me to school. Picked up a little something for him and his wife to enjoy.
4. Took an afternoon nap and ended up having a nightmare about tomorrow's surgery. I dreamt they cut my eye lids off.
5. Found a new favorite spot here in Cheonan and found out I now know how to pick locks! Volia... a roof top hide-away!!! Breath-taking!
6. Today was not a good day... so boring and, when it wasn't boring, it was too packed with drama.... don't ask.
7. Turns out milk doesn't fly but it does smell... don't ask. Hey Arpi... I made "diamonds" today... I know you know what I'm talking about. Not fun.
8. Cried over spilt milk... isn't that a cliche?... oh no, it's "Don't cry over spilt milk".
8. Watched the movie "The Lake House" for probably the 5th time this week.
9. Mommy and Daddy to the rescue! I was having a terrible day and so I decided to call up my parents (which I hardly do but know I should do it more often) It felt so good to hear their voices and I wish they were in Korea! Dad gave me some words of advice for tomorrow's big day and mom gave words of encouragement.
10. Interesting "girl chat" with my mom....ha, ha, ha. Looking forward to shopping with you in January mom!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Do they have skunks in Ireland?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Don't come home married!
-- my Mom
