As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Thursday, October 5

1. Today was a rough day! It started off with me getting into a stupid fight with this Korean guy... don't ask. I'll spare you the details of this cat fight but I will say that it's safe to say that not only did we fight like total girls but we both lost. Never in my life have I been more nervous to throw a good punch and so I refused to... just a lot of pushing and pulling.
2. Laid in bed for a few hours while I tried to shake off my bruised ego.
3. Finally got myself out of the house. I was two hours late meeting up with my friends and so that wasn't cool.
4. I was totally set up! I decided to go see a friend in Songtan but she had a change of plans and so she sent me on a wild goose hunt which resulted in me running into Yong Chan... thanks Allyson... I'll be sure to send you a bag of coal at Christmas... ha, ha, ha!
5. So plans with Allyson were a total bust but I tried hard to make the best of it with Yong Chan. I know he means well but he talks way too much and the fact that I hate what he loves (golf) just doesn't help the situation. But, he thinks he's in love and so I find it rather amusing.
6. Dinner with Yong Chan consisted of him talking a mile a minute, me praciticing my Korean with the waitress, and text messaging "Help!" to Greg.
7. Well, I started my day in a huge arguement and that's how I ended it too. Mind you, I was on the subway and it was with some Malaysian guys. The leader of their pack of 7 guys was this super skinny loud dude who tried to get my attention by sitting on my purse and whispering "I love you" in my ear. I tried to ignore him by pretending to listen to my MP3 player... that didn't work. Finally I comfronted him. He thought it was so funny until I took my jacket off and walked up to him. I hate rude people.
8. The arguement continued for a few stops but then was ended by my hero of the night, some Korean guy, who stood up and told the Malaysian punks, "No talk to women. She no like you!" Ahhh... I love Koreans!
9. Finally arrived back home a little bit after midnight. It's always nice to go out but nothing feels better than coming back home!
10. You all missed the funniest dance party at my house...ha, ha, ha. While downloading more music for my blank computer, I worked on my dance moves. I have now mastered the whole "1-2-Step" video by Ciara and am now working on "Lose my Breathe" by Destiny's Child. Ha, ha, ha. Mind ya, I took out a chair in trying to learn the steps....ha, ha, ha.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Are we done here?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Oh good, you understand English... understand this "shut up!"
-- Me
(I know it was really rude of me to say this but who approaches a single female on the subway at midnight with 6 other guys and really expects good to come out of it?!)
