1. After falling asleep in Mr. PE Teacher’s truck on the way to school, I accidentally banged my head on the window. Mr. PE Teacher was highly amused but I’m sure a bruise will soon form.
2. Because of the fact that last night was super busy and I didn’t get to really sit down and relax till about 11pm, by second period today I was past my personal limit of only 2 cups of coffee and was venturing onto my 3rd cup.
3. With my throat still hurting and my voice hanging on by a thread, I got frustrated with my 1-1 class and threatened to throw a shoe at a kid. It was soooo funny! They screamed out, “Ahhh… No, not the smelly shoe!” Hey, that’s not true. My shoes smell like flowers….ㅋㅋㅋ.
4. Perfect hair day…ㅋㅋㅋ.
5. I had written a radio show presentation for my level 2 classes, it was called “Good Morning Korea” (a total run-off on “Good morning Vietnam”). Today they had their presentations. After I gave out voting ballets and allowed the students pick the winning group.
6. Little Ms. Bully and her group clearly kicked butt with their presentation but it’s clear that students want nothing to do with her still because of her nasty bullying of the new student. Consequently, her group only got one vote!
7. I personally felt bad for Little Ms. Bully’s group members but, on the same note, I was proud of the class for making such an obvious statement. What she did was totally wrong and as a result, she’s changed everything. They’ll never forget.
8. Decided to take the night of training and instead, kicked back, got take-out for dinner, and watched soccer.
9. Apparently someone’s been teaching Ryan bad English words, bad in the sense that they’re swear words and I don’t quite think he knows what he’s saying. He practiced such words during the soccer game and I was shocked. The result… us arguing and throwing pickles at each other…ㅋㅋㅋ.
10. Oh the horror… ran out of milk. Those who know me well know that I’m a notorious milk monster…ㅋㅋㅋ. I was devastated…ㅋㅋㅋ.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Got milk?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Milk does a body good.
-- Milk Advertising slogan
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
