As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Friday, December 8

1. Am convinced there’s no difference between sandpaper and the toilet paper I’m using. Woke up today with the sorest of noses and the biggest of sores on my nose…. soooo attractive…ㅋㅋㅋ.
2. Introduced my elementary grade 6 boys to the wonders of the HUMAN PYRAMID. Their tallest pyramid consisted of 10 boys. It was super hilarious but yes, I admit it, it was a bit dangerous.
3. Holy invasion of the body snatchers!!! Five minutes after the boys started their human pyramid, their oh so cute, super sweet teacher came in yelling like she was possessed by some demon. We were ALL scared!
4. My poor elementary kids were forced to sit in a cold classroom, yet again, and so free-time consisted of cuddle-time and more cuddle-time...ㅋㅋㅋ

5. It seems like the more I try to boycotting Christmas this year, the more people keep on asking me about it. Yes people… I can NOT go home and so I will NOT be celebrating it this year. I do Christmas with my students but that's it. Thanks for repeatedly asking me though.
6. Turns out Jess loved his birthday present I bought him. He’s been walking around school the past two days with his gift poking out of his pocket. He’s quite proud actually and so that totally made my day!
7. Dinner consisted of eating way too much sushi and then playing rock-paper-scissors with Kim Tae to see who’d eat the remaining pieces…ㅋㅋㅋ
8. Am convinced I must have ate something funky at that sushi restaurant. I opted out of eating the sushi bathed in orange fish eggs but I’m not too sure what exactly it was that I did eat… was that cheese? Hmmm…. delicious!
9. Came home kind of late and then ending up watching an animal documentary show with Ryan. We’re both big National Geographic fans. Tonight’s show was on spoiled dogs and leaders of the packs.

10. Despite his wallpaper-eating, non-stop hyperactive spazzy attitude, overly-hairy messy body, and toe-chewing habits, I miss Daewoo.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How come people freely comment on my tagboard but no one really signs my guestbook?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials.
