As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Sunday, December 10

1. Admit that my Korean studies is going well but today I decided I must study harder. After watching this one show on TV where they guest host a group of foreigners who speak awesome Korean, I am convinced I can do that too.
2. Took a mini field trip to see Captian Hook. On my way back I got stuck sitting beside the smelliest of smelly men. I wanted to move but then the dude beside me caught my attention. He was studying English and I noticed some errors in his book. Who writes these brutal texts anyways? Ended up briefly editing his textbook.
3. Hooked up with Kim Tae, Mrs. Seo (Wollang teacher) and her daughter Hye Lim for a friendly game of bowling. Hye Lim is 19 but apparently she’s never bowled before! She gave it her best try but it was painful watching her chuck the ball down the isle. I almost felt bad for the poor bowling ball…ㅋㅋㅋ So hilarious!
4. If the cliché “Gutter balls have more fun” is correct than Hye Lim had the most fun…ㅋㅋㅋ.
5. We played three games in total. Kim Tae and I got quite competitive. I was determined to not lose to a boy and so I kissed the ball, tried my luck and tried to concentrate in between all the jokes. He may have beat me in the first game but I lost to him by ONE POINT in the second and then came back for the title in the third…ㅋㅋㅋ.
6. It was great to hang out with my co-worker outside of work. She’s a super sweet lady who always tries to look after me at Wollang. She waits for me at lunchtime, makes me coffee and always is so nice to me. I really wanted to treat her tonight but she ended up treating all of us.
7. After bowling we had worked up quite the appetite and so I took them to one of my favourite restaurants, Mainz. The restaurant has that kind of Western bar and grill feel to it (low lighting, bench seats, funky artistic interior) but serves the best Korean food! After a meal like that, I don’t mind going home smelling like meat and kimchi…ㅋㅋㅋ.
8. So cute… Hye Lim texted me and Kim Tae to say thank you and that she had a lot of fun. “had a good day today >_<>
10. Turns out my tag board has been getting a lot of attention lately, interesting but this only serves to feed my curiosity about who’s exactly reading my homepage. Please sign the guestbook, thanks.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Where can I get some love potion #9?
