As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Hey Amy,

The answer to your question if you are flying with Air Canada is:

2 check-in bags -- no more than 50 lbs (23 kg) each

1 carry on (no more than 9 kg)
1 laptop bag (9 kg)
1 purse

All info about weight restiction will be on the website of whatever airline you are flying with. So you can also double check there too.

I am excited for your trip to Canada. You will be so overwhelmed and the weirdest things will be a big deal at first (for example, I found it hard to get used to how big our house is, and when I was driving I wondered where everyone was...since the streets here in Seoul are packed.

Will you be blogging when you are in Canada?

I do hope you have an amazing time with your friends and family back home. Don't forget to stock up on all those Western goodies that you can't find here.

Take care,
Jen
