As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Sunday, January 28

1. My sleeping patterns were all messed up and so my Sunday actually started at 4am.
2. Got all dolled up and then headed out to church with my parents. I felt kind of odd cause almost everyone checked in their coats and there I sat all bundled and shivering.
3. Still experiencing jet lag and so right in the middle of the pastor’s sermon, I fell asleep.
4. Ran into a former youth leader of mine from a church in Whitby I use to attend. At first we both recognized each other but didn’t know where from. They now have two foster children.
5. Did the usual church thing by heading out to Swiss Chalet after church. My mom found a hair in my chicken though and kind of freaked out. I kept eating the chicken cause personally I could care less. I was just happy it didn’t have the bird flu like those other chickens back in Korea…ㅋㅋㅋ.
6. After lunch we went on a hunt for a power outlet adaptor. Finally at the 3rd store I found one that fit, great!
7. I had originally planned to clean out my bedroom. It’s now become a kind of storage for all my clothes and stuff from my old house in Toronto. My ex-fiance, Paulo, brought over stuff and so that’s added to the collection of junk in my room. Mind ya, the furthest I got to cleaning it was opening a box and then closing it back up…ㅋㅋㅋ
8. Had plans to have Iain over but he got caught up in his own plans with his family and so he ended up not coming over.. that’s ok. By 9pm I was struggling to stay awake.
9. Because my room is such an absolute mess, and because I slacked off today and didn’t clean it up, I ended up sleeping in my brother’s room. He now lives in New York and so he won’t mind but it was definitely weird sleeping on a bed, and such a high bed too! (In Korea I sleep on a floor mat).
10. Even with two big blankets on me, I was chilly in the bed and so my dad had to heat up a hot water bottle for me…. ahhh!!!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Is it always this cold here?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Don't knock the weather; nine-tenths of the people couldn't start a conversation if it didn't change once in a while.
