1. Spent a good part of my day playing around with a new computer program I found on the web. It’s called CrazyTalk. (It lets you make your still pictures talk and move!) I humoured myself with the program and was way too amused.
2. The award for the funniest creation of mine went to my picture of Kim Tae. Kim Tae freaked out when he saw himself on my computer screen barking! ㅋㅋㅋ!
3. Frustration kicked in after I tried relentlessly to save my pictures and post them on my homepage… no luck. Turns out that’s the secret to this free download… in order to be able to use your pictures, you have to buy the program.
4. Oh my gosh… could my legs be any itchier? I don’t think it’s possible and I don’t know what the heck is wrong but my legs have apparently reacted to something. I think I had an allergic reaction to something… great. Not exactly what I define as fun.
5. Am convinced Mi-Nam is the coolest little boy (I mean, dog) ever. He’s my biggest fan and follows me everywhere in the house. His snoring is super adorable and he loves sliding across the hardwood floor.
6. After months of working out at the same gym, Kim Tae informs me today that the gym is open some Sundays. Thanks.
7. Apparently I have an admirerer… a normal one, too. He’s not a freakish/stalker, “I will die without you Amy” admirer like Young Chan or a in your face, stubborn mule like Trouble Boy. Instead, he’s some random dude who lives in Seoul and he seems relatively normal. He discovered me on a foreigner community internet site where I noted that I was a foreigner enjoying Korea. Mr. Secret Admirer wanted to send me roses to my house (ya… like I’m going to tell anyone where I live!) but instead sent me some virtual roses via email. Very cute but I’m sure he’s some 18 year-old geeky dude.
8. Oh my gosh… I’m a terrible mother! Mi-Nam’s ripped open his bed cushion and I didn’t know where my needle and thread were so, instead of taking it away from him, I decided to use safety pins to close it up. Turns out safety pins aren’t so safety and when I returned home, he had popped them open and bed cushion stuffing was everywhere! I think he swallowed a pin or two… so much for safety!
9. Gave Kim Tae his first dance lesson on how to dance to pop songs and rap. It was so hilarious but props to Kim Tae for being brave enough to dance in front of me. He was a great sport about it and now I think he’s ready for Songtan! ㅋㅋㅋ
10. Welcome to Amy’s Singing Room…ㅋㅋㅋ! Hooked up my laptop to my TV and then blasted some great tunes. Seriously considering mad lists of lyrics so that my friends can come here and we can pop the lyrics up on the TV screen… wow, I’m such a smart cookie….ㅋㅋㅋ.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What's so safe about these long, super sharp edged, metal pins?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Common sense and a sense of humor are the same thing, moving at different speeds. A sense of humor is just common sense, dancing.
-- William James
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
