As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Friday, February 2

1. Today was definitely a busy day full of meetings, running around, and waiting in lines. Cause of the fact I had my passport stolen, there was an additional form required for a new one and so I had a meeting today with Whitby’s M.P.P., the honorable Christine Elliot. She signed my form and I knew, having her signature on my form was like magic!
2. Talk about bad luck… out of all the possible tellers at the passport office, had to get the rude little spoiled snob who already at 10am was in a bad mood. Great. Ended up going back to the passport office and scoring one more day… sweet! Passport will be ready in a week!!!
3. I’ll be getting a new passport issued soon but today I ran into another problem… my work visa application. I called up the Korean Embassy here in Toronto to see if I had to get my school back in Korea to register for a new confirmation number considering the information (passport number) is now changed. They had no answer. Meeting with them on Monday.
4. Hooked up with Graeme, Madi and Francis for a wicked dinner at Fifth Element… awesome food! We whined, we dined,… it was perfect!
5. After supper we headed to a club. My buddy Jeffery hooked up with us there. It was packed with young kids who I’m sure over half were just of legal age. After about an hour of feeling like we were parent chaperones, we headed out.
6. Madi and Francis had gone home and so then it was just me and my two Asian men… Graeme and Jeffery. The guys teased me by making we walk by an all-Asian club and so that was funny, mean but funny. Gotta love those Asian boys!
7. Wow… some people have no control! There was this one girl who was all over the place! She dropped her ID, her money, and was dancing up a storm with everyone. Jeffery and I were highly amused with how her friends had to fight her to make her leave… she just kept on coming back it.
8. Had lots of laughs reminiscing with Jeffery about our times together in university. He use to always use to be my dancing partner cause wow, can that boy ever dance! He’s got some wicked style!
9. Got to check out Jeffery’s studio afterwards. Wow… I’m always fascinated at how people express themselves and all the talent

that’s out there. Visiting his studio definitely reminded me of my brother’s old studio.
10. As if my night wasn't already awesome, I came home and low and behold, there sat Kobe outside my house. After party at Kobe’s… sweet!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Am I staying for good in Korea?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Good friends are like wine, they get finer with age.
