1. Woke up and, much to my surprise, it seemed as though my lip had exploded during the night. Yup, just as I had feared… I had a cold sore! Off to the doctors I went. I was so self conscious of it and so I was determined to kill this problem right away. Too many wrongs have already happened on this trip, I wasn’t about to have another mishap! Spent $40 CDN on four horse-sized pills that the doctor claimed would speed up my recovery. Turns out that’s only two doses… wow! Those pills are hardcore, not to mention almost impossible to swallow.
2. Acted as a kind of translator at the doctor's office after someone overheard me speaking Korean to a fellow patient. Apparently she didn't know any English and was struggling with the doctor's forms and so the doctor came and got me. I was so impressed with myself...ha, ha, ha.
3. Well my meeting at the Korean Embassy was a bust… a total bust. Not only did they not have any answers to help me out but they then gave me more forms to fill out and left me thinking of more questions. That’s all I’ve been doing this week… filling out forms and searching for answers and coming up with more questions!
4. Hero of the day was definitely Kobe…actually he’s scored that title for the past week now. He’s been by my side since my purse got stolen and he’s been really cool with keeping me sane and helping me relieve stress. Today he took the afternoon off and spent the rest of Monday with me.
5. Kobe took me to the Pacific Mall up in the middle of no-where-ville! Within 5 minutes of entering the mall, I felt like I was overseas… or close enough. Everything in the mall caters to the surrounding Asian community, predominantly the Chinese crowd and so I was loving it!
6. For a moment there I honestly thought my English was really deminishing cause when Kobe started talking to the sales lady, I had no idea what he had said. Turns out Kobe speaks Chinese... I was so impressed!
7. Korean food for lunch… I love it!
8. Oh ya baby! Come to mama… got a new camera (again).
9. Dinner consisted of trying to figure out Kobe’s microwave, cooking stale pasta only to throw it out, and then settling for pizza pockets.
10. What’s that… Kobe got beat by a girl?! Kobe claimed it was his loose clothing that brought the fight to an end but we both know maybe he really can’t handle me, the little Polack…ha, ha, ha. Ok, ok... so maybe no one really won but we will have a rematch! Ha, ha, ha. Be prepared Kobe.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How does it feel to get beat by a girl?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Don't play with fire, you're going to get burnt.

As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
