1. Grudged having to go out to Whitby ALL morning! Whitby was great when I was growing up but now I'm grown up... and have moved on.
2. Arrived with just enough time to get ready for the night. My best bud, Andi, picked me up and off we went to her house for a girl's night of fun. All the couples had gathered at Andi's house. Out of the girls, I was the only one not married or engaged. Andi's brother-in-law J showed up, minus the wife, and so it was great to chat with him and not be the only one flying solo.
3. The guys stayed behind and played poker while us girls caught a cab and headed downtown to the Shawa for some dancing. I was a bit skeptical though considering it's the Shawa (GM town) and the fact that they had told me about a shooting at a local club there. Great. Getting shot wasn't exactly on my list of things to do while on vacation. But then again... it's just been that kind of vacation: stolen purse, running into the ex, Kobe...
4. Spotted Paris Hilton... call The Enquirer!!! Wow... this chic was too much and seeing her in the bathroom under bright lights more than too much. She thought she was hot though and I guess that's a good thing cause we all thought she was naaaaaaaaaaasty!
5. Convinced this small group of kids that I was a professional boxer living in Korea but here in Canada for a North American tour. Wow... can you say "gullible"!!! Stay in school kids!
6. Every second person who talked to me seemed to be 22 or 23! I felt so old and it definitely didn't help that this one dude in particular was teasing me about my age. He thought it was all fun and games until I hinted to the bartender that he used a fake ID to get in. She ended up calling over the bouncer and he totally harassed the kid. Served him right.
7. Considering the massive crowd of youngings and the lame dudes stepping on my toes, I decided to entertain the girls by flicking random guy's ears. As they walked by, I'd flick their ear. They'd turn around and we'd all act natural, like nothing happened. It was hilarious!!! However, as they say, "It's all fun and games till someone loses an eye", well... that almost came true. Just as I was going to flick this one guy's ear, he turned around and boom... poked him right in the eye!!! I was buckled over laughing but nonetheless I felt bad and was embarrassed.
8. The fun didn't stop there though. Angela and I were loving this new silly game I had started but were quite nervous when one of our "victims" turned around and freaked on this other dude standing beside him. The two sized each other up and we were convinced they were going to fight. Thankfully, nothing became of it.
9. While the girls were busy being swarmed by what looked like under aged boys, I had an "interesting" chat with one of the bouncers. Us girls had joked about him earlier and so bets were on the table with regards to if he'd talk to me by the end of the night. Oh, he talked to me but then I realized three things... 1. he's a spinning image of a certain someone I know, 2. he killed it when he opened his mouth to talk and so he's nothing like that person, and 3. I miss that person.
10. After a long night of hilarious moments, good music, fun times amongst us girls, and "interesting" moments, we all headed back home. I came back with Andi to her house, made a meal out of Crisper's ketchup crispers (not exactly healthy, I know) and tried to stay up with Paul (Andi's brother-in-law) to watch a movie.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Did it hurt when you feel from heaven?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
My thoughts are free to go anywhere, but it's surprising how often they head in your direction.

As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
