1. Woke up to Super Bowl Sunday and honestly could care less. My former roommate and her roommates on the other hand, were all excited and loaded themselves with nachos, salsa, pizza and wings.
2. For the first couple of hours of the day I was fighting the tempting forces of the family room single sofa. You have no idea of how comfortable it is. Matt was totally right.. that sofa is deadly! After I had practially melted in it's soft cushions, that was it for me. Ha, ha, ha.
3. While I was fighting the forces, Matt got me up to speed with the latest TV shows and then we chatted up a storm. He use to live near “Hooker Hill” in Itaewan for year and so it’s really nice talking to him about Korea cause it makes me feel not so disconnected with it.
4. What’s up with this weather?! It’s -15 but feels like -30 with the windshield! I only was daring enough to venture outside once, and that was to hit the gym.
5. Ran into my buddy Fettuccini at the gym. Ok, so his name isn’t Fettuccini, it’s Alfredo… you get the joke now though. Ha, ha, ha. He was so shocked to see me. We got talking and so there went an hour! According to Fettuccini, he predicts I’ll be in Korea max. two more years before I move back to Toronto to settle down.
6. Went hardcore with training my legs today. Couldn’t help but laugh as I noticed how I was walking… it reminded me of my ex, Pete. He was a 270lb body builder who was simply a tank. His arms couldn’t touch the side of his chest, he couldn’t scratch his own back, and his legs were bigger then my chest cavity… or so I’m convinced. He’s hardcore but he’s an awesome guy!
7. I spy with my little eye… a cold sore?! What… what’s that tingling on my lip?! Oh my gosh… it can’t be! I think it is, dang!
8. Was pleasantly surprised when my friend Jay swung by the house. He use to date my roommate and actually that’s how we met, through her. He’s best friends with a guy I use to date and so we got talking about him and all that Jay’s been up too. He’s still a total cutie and apparently has found his niche in the working world… congrats!
9. Before I moved to Korea, I use to work at various places but one place in particular where I worked was at a club. I was the head bartender and, although I made retarded money, it came with a lot of risks, problems, and quite the “interesting” crowd… many of which (one “crowd” in particular) I found out today are now serving time in prison…ya, long story there but I’ll leave it at that!
10. Alisha kissed the notorious McCabe from the Toronto’s Maple Leaf’s! Yup, it’s true. While I was relaxing at home, she ran into him downtown Toronto. She walked right up to him and planted a big wet one on his lips. Wow! Alish is a huge McCabe fan and so I’m sure she was on cloud nine. How she’ll explain this to her boyfriend is beyond me.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How stressful is this week going to be?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
You only live life once, live it to the fullest.

As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
