As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Thursday, February 1

1. Not too sure whether or not I actually slept last night but I opened my eyes today totally grudging what I knew would be a day of stress, tears, and more stress.
2. I was with Kobe in the morning and so I was ok. He dropped me off at my old house and stuck around to hear me explain the situation to Matt (my old roomate's roomate). Matt was shocked at how well I was taking it and surprised at how I could laugh about it. I knew the laughter would stop though... soon enough it did.
3. My surprisingly optimistic mood came crashing down when my parents picked me up. I've always considered myself to be responsible and respectable but apparently my mom thinks differently. I know she means well but her delieverance doesn't go over well with me and it left me crying in the back seat of their car.
4. Drove over to the police station to be questioned and to fill out a couple of reports. Thankfully the one police officer liked me. I let him joke around about my ID pictures and living in Korea and in return he put priority on my reports and was able to process the report right away and send me on my way with a copy (as oppose to coming back on Monday)
5. I was too nervous to even be hungry and so I opted out of eating anything at the restuarant. The fact that my parents picked the restuarnt that directly faces the Second Cup where my purse was stolen the night before, definitely stressed me out.
6. Headed out to Ajax to get my family doctor to sign my forms. He had a good laugh at just how much I've changed since the last time he saw me.
7. Positive news of the day... Whitby's M.P.P., the honourable Christine has agreed to meet me tomorrow to sign one of my documents. Having her name on my forms is power!
8. Oh, I almost forgot to mention.... the security door key to my old apartment, where I'm now staying, was also in my stolen purse, so it's gone. Which means, I have to call my old roomates or here roomates every time I want to come in. That sucks! I feel like I'm on parol checking in.
9. My breath of fresh air came when Kobe dropped by to visit me. Mind ya, he took me out into the cold air and I shivered, but we went out for dinner and had a good time.
10. Because of the important meeting I have with Whitby's M.P.P., I had to go back to Whitby tonight. Oh... I can't stand Whibty anymore! It's a ghost town!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Is this really happening to me?
