1. Back in the day, when I use to bartend in Toronto, I had a safe hidden in my home. I would come home, stash the cash and then hit the sack. Then one day in the wee early morning, I woke up in sweat; I had forgotten the safe's code. Well, the safe has since moved to my hometown and so yesterday my brother spent a few hours trying to crack it. Today I woke up and remembered one of the numbers!
2. For lunch my former boxing trainer, Egerton Marcus, picked me up and we went to one of our favorite restaurants, Coco Rice. I fascinated Egerton with the story about my big fight in Korea that left me in the hospital and with a few bruised ribs. He was so proud of me for sticking up for myself but claims I'm probably viewed as a kind of rebel in Korea... I think he's somewhat right. Ha, ha, ha.
3. Egerton and I were having such a good time at lunch and so lunch turned into a trip up to his sister's store and then coffee. I miss Egerton so much. He's been such an awesome mentor to me and I really respect him for pursuing his passions and keeping his head up even when others think he's failed. He's never failed in my eyes though.
4. With the snow storm expected to come and bring 15 cm of snow tonight, I was in no mood to walk in the storm and head to the gym.
5. Met up with the ex... yup, it's true. He didn't ask any of the expected questions I thought he would but he's definitely a changed guy! Wow. Besides the obvious swear words that have no been added into his vocab, he's quite the clubbing guy and is nothing like the guy I remember him as. It was double closure for me! Wow.
6. He tried to convince me to come to his place to watch a movie. I tried to be polite about it but I wasn't interested. First of all, that's kind of how the whole "us" started, I'm happily involved with someone else, and he has no idea on who I am anymore. I've changed and now I'm happy.
7. After an awkward meeting with him, I joined up with my Bloor boys at Brydens. Mark's girlfriend refused to come out and so it was just Andy, Mark and I. Mark left early and so Andy and I sat there deep in conversation. He had mentioned to me that people come in and out of your life... for a reason, a season or a life time. I totally agree.
8. That's what makes Andy so amazing. When you first meet him he's all jokes but when you really sit down to talk to him, you really get to see all his amazing layers. It's funny cause he's like the male version of me but taller and older. I'd like to think I'm cuter but he's pretty cute!
9. Well, well, well... who should come walking in but one of my gym buddies, Renee! Last time we hung out he was totally out of it and so I highly doubt he remembers how he spilt his beans to him. I'm quite glad about that too.. ha, ha, ha.
10. Wow... Renee has legs now! Looks like he took my advice and started training more than just his upper body. Turns out he's now into athletic modeling... good for him!
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Who's going to be my Valentine tomorrow?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
I don't believe in revenge, I believe in karma; I believe in me.

As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
