1. Congrats to me... congrats to the person who now owns my purse. Today marks the one week anniversary. Thanks for reminding me there Sam.
2. Headed up to York University with my parents and got down to business regarding getting a copy of my degree printed out. Hopefully it'll be done by next Thursday.
3. Ran into Mr. D at System Fitness. He use to always tell me about his daugther's move to Japan and so it was great to have the awesome traveling story for him this time. He was all smiles when he saw me and so it was great to see another familiar face at the gym.
4. Wow... recieved a super sweet letter, a love letter actually. Apparently I am missed in Korea.
5. Met up with my good old buddy, "the Greek treat... Papa Pump"... ha, ha, ha. It's funny cause we've known each other for about 5 years now and I've never called him by his real name (Mike). He's Papa Pump and I'm Mama Pump. We use to joke around and say we're going to breed champions... ha, ha, ha. He's a gym freak like me.
6. According to Papa Pump, I'd don't have quite the pump on anymore. I know I've lost some weight since I've been in Korea but he went on and on about how much smaller my arms and legs are... ouch, that hurt the ego! My muscular legs and butt-kicking, iron pumping, arms use to be my pride and joy cause of boxing. I think my arms still rock.
7. Told the waitress I was living in Korea and she had a field day on the fact that Koreans eat dog. If I recall correctly, she commented, "How's the chicken? I know it's not like dog but sorry, I can't find Benji." Very funny... this coming from a chic that clearly looks like she's had one too many greasy cheeseburgers from McDonalds. Personally, I rather the dog than the stuff she's clogging her arteries with!!!
8. Jokes, jokes, jokes... Papa Pump was all giggly and super sarcastic. We're bad when we're together though cause we both talk too much and tend to interupt each other. He talks more than a woman though... ha, ha, ha!
9. Headed out with Kobe. I'm simply amazed by this cutie... he's buff to the max and yet continually loads his body up with nasty food that barely can be classified as food. I felt like I was putting on the calories just watching him eat those fried fries loaded with sour cream. Regardless though, his "diet", if you want to call it, doesn't seem to effect his perfect figure.
10. Met Kobe's friend, Keith. Keith is a younger, smaller version of Kobe and so the two always get mistaken as brothers.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Is ignorance really bliss?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
I pity the fool.
-- Mr. T
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
