As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Yesterday I had cleaned out all my drawers. Today Mi Nam and I had a cozy afternoon nap on the massive pile of clothes that I ended up throwing out later that night.

This isn't the Amy I remember. MY Amy would never leave such a mess!

I know, I know.... I only left this for one day but it's not a habit. I had been cleaning out all my unwanted clothes and well, Mi Nam was loving the pile. I didn't want to disturb his sleep... hehehe

Why am I here??? said...

Hey Amy, I have a suggestion for the next time you decide to clean out your clothes.

My foreign friend in Korea collects used clothing and then ships them over to China (on her dime). They go to North Korea refugees who have escaped and are living in isolation, hoping one day to make a successful journey to South Korea.

I know it would be a lot to bundle all your clothes into a bag and haul them to Seoul, but I think the cause far outweights the effort.

Jennifer,
ps.... I totally love the videos, and I'd like to see more!!!!

ps....you said you changed your diet (and I know you don't cook), so what korean foods are you eating that are healthy.........soodubu?

Hey Jenn,
I never even thought about a clothes drive... damn! I'll keep that in mind for next time, for sure. I feel bad though cause I threw out SO much clothes... two of those 50L yellow bags!

It doesnt' even look like I put a dent in my massive stash of clothes though... hehehe.

As for the videos... they take SO long to do, especially now because my computer is all wacked and keeps on crashing while I'm using the program.

And my diet... it's really retarded but most of my meals consist of feasting on all those side dishes... tons of veggies! I've been really addicted to soups lately (soondubu and kimchi jigga), sushi, and I just discovered I like cooked fish.

I'll post some of my silly diet/training tips I've been trying to focus on.

Hey James,

Very funny... my house is never this messy though. I was just getting rid of clothes that I never wear. This was my pile of unwanted clothes.

And as for training Mi Nam... I'm just happy that he's paper trained. He's not the brightest of puppies, but I love him!!!
