As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Monday, July 2

1. With only an hour and a half of sleep, I somehow found a pinch of strength in me to roll out of bed, shower, get dressed and meet up with the Cheonan Trump for an early morning cup of tea. Today he surprised me with some really sweet tea... jasmine tea. Both he and I were definitely lacking sleep and so instead of really talking, we just sat there like two tea grannies sipping our jasmine tea. His assistant had a good giggle at us.... hehehe.

2. Took Mi Nam out in the courtyard today to run around and burn off all his energy. At 11:38am he fainted... it scared the heck out of me! Turns out that this isn't so uncommon with French bulldogs because of their unique nasal passage. Honestly, I thought he had dropped dead. I mean, he just flopped down on the ground... smash went his little head on the tile. I shook like a leaf and thought I was going to be sick. However, about a minute later, probably less, he came back. It was so scary!

3. I had only had a couple hours of sleep, if that, and had already had too much drama in the morning to fully comprehend what was going on. I was planning on going back to bed when Hannah texted me, telling me to meet up with her.

4. It was noon, I was on my third cup of coffee and desperately needing sleep. Instead however, I allowed Hannah to take me on a hunt for a pair of skinny jeans. Well, we found out where to buy them, they were on 30%, but there also weren't any skinny jeans.... great.

5. Finally came home... but still wasn't able to go to sleep. I ended up distracting myself with my studies.

6. In the early evening, I met up with Hannah to go training. I wasn't feeling the greatest but thought I'd push it hard on the weights regardless.... bad idea! By the time I had finished my back routine, I was feeling sick. I stepped up on the treadmill, pushed the start button and then got super dizzy when I looked down at it moving. Five minutes later, I was out the door.

7. Hannah came by after she finished exercising and so we headed off to supper.... tak galbi (chicken.... super delicious chicken!!!) Tak galbi is definitely one of my favorite meals here and after stuffing my tummy with it, I felt so much better.

8. All day I stressed over Mi Nam fainting, I just couldn't shake it from my head and so I wanted nothing more than to curl up on the couch and hug him.... so that's what I did tonight. I sat on the couch and Mi Nam laid on my chest while I studied. I'd be so heartbroken if this little guy were to die on me. He's not just a little puppy.... he is what's got me through my past heartbreak and he's my family here.

9. As soon as I started talking to Yoon Jae tonight, I totally knew I was in for a long night... again, hehehe. I don't know what it is but there's just something so great I feel when I talk to him.

10. I know I've talked about this movie before but have you ever seen the movie "The Lake House"? In the movie the two characters get caught up in this whole love story via love letters that they write back and forth. The met by fluke and ended up having this huge super sweet, ultra romantic romance through their letters. It was a sweet, innocent and sincere romance and I think that's why I love that movie so much. Anyway, it's funny to say this but, I kind of feel like I'm a living rendition of that movie. But what I am super nervous about is that ok, sure we have an awesome connection when we talk and whatnot, but what happens when we met. I think there's a lot weighting on our Thursday meeting. What happens if we don't click in person or we're not what each other expected?! A part of me says that I shouldn't meet him and instead just keep things the way they are.... ya right, I'm way too curious... hehehe. So Thursday is the BIG day. I'm so nervous, so anxious, so excited... so.... many feelings.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What makes two people click?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Never pretend to a love which you do not actually feel, for love is not ours to command.
