1. See... you throw me on the other side of the globe and I lose all memory of Canadian holidays... yikes! Sorry Canada. Happy Canada Day to my fellow "Tundra Bunnies" way over in the Great White North.
2. Turns out one of the Kimbab Nala ladies has a huge sweet tooth for Mi Nam (no.. not literally... hehehe). While I waited for my take-out, she instantly came running out of the back kitchen to show Mi Nam some love. And here I thought I got good service! Mi Nam scored a few pieces of ham, some egg, and half a kimbab... for free of course, cause he's just that cute!!!
3. I'm officially addicted to those collegian packs at the Skin Food shop... must... have.... more.... ahhhhh!!!! Hehehe.
4. Am convinced Mi Nam is going to get my Polish butt kicked out of my sweet building because in addition to him picking up this bad habit of barking at random people in the hall (I think he's having a bit of a "small dog" complex), he marked his territory on the wall beside the elevator today! I quickly wiped it up with some tissue but you know, once it's marked, it's marked. A dog will ALWAYS remark that territory... oh gosh!
5. Oh ya baby... I'm right on schedule. I had mentioned before that I've planned a studying schedule for myself; 20 chapters, 4 chapters a week, 5 weeks of intense studying. I wanted to be on chapter 6 by today.... BINGO!!!
6. Got a chance to talk to my buddy Pete on MSN tonight. It's so wild to think that in the three years that I've been here, he's gone and got himself a fiance, they've had their first child, and their second is on the way... wow. Which makes me think, what the heck have I been doing?! Hehehe... oh ya, I've been living out my dream, cool. Congrats on the upcoming new buddle of joy Pete. I'm sure you make for one really cool dad! I send my love.
7. Without getting too much into the details, I don't want to jinx it, ...I've met someone. I met him tonight. I'll tell you the details later.... Hmmm... All I can say is WOW.... he might just be Korea's best kept secret! Hehehe....
8. We've only just met and yet I found myself talking to him for about 2 & 1/2 hours on the phone. Now, had this been the old me, the Amy back in Canada, a 2 & 1/2 hour phone conversation wouldn't be anything to write home to about but this is different. I don't talk on the phone in Korea, seriously! My calls don't usually exceed a minute or two and that's only cause something was lost in translation and so it took an extra minute to explain. On average, I answer 2-3 calls a week but I am a text messaging addict... hehe. So, to find myself talking on the phone at such a great length tonight was so surprising. There's something about this guy that has me hooked... hmmm.
9. So here's the deal... we agreed, we have to meet. I'm going into Seoul on Thursday to have lunch with Wonder Woman and so we're going to meet up after. I'm already nervous and super anxious about meeting him.
10. Finally we ended our phone conversation. The night had come and gone, the sun had fully rised and I had to get some sleep, we both did. It was now 5:30am!!! We had chatted on MSN, talked on the phone, and then we even sent some more text messages after finally saying good-bye... I wasn't even tired, actually, I was so giddy but I had an early morning promise and so I had to be up at 7am... ouch!!!
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What's up with this cutie and why hasn't any one else snatched him up?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Seize the moment of excited curiosity on any subject to solve your doubts; for if you let it pass, the desire may never return, and you may remain in ignorance.
-- William Wirt
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

What's up with this cutie and why hasn't any one else snatched him up? AMY-AMy-Amy-amy. I think you should answer that about yourself Amy. I know you aren't a stranger to having men adore you and ask you out. Why this guy?
Yo Anonymous,
Ok, I hear ya and I know what you're getting at. He's just as much as a catch as me?! ... hmm, maybe.
Ya, I've had my share of "fans", as my friends call them. Let's see there's the ever so classic ex-boyfriends, random stalker-boys, former students of mine, and the ever so cute random teenage boys who stop me in the street to say hi or tell me I'm pretty.... mind ya, it's cause I'm foreign, I'm sure of it.
So why this guy, you ask? Honestly, I don't know how to explain it in words cause I don't even know how to explain it to myself... hehehe.
We just really connected and even though we haven't seen face-to-face yet, I felt really attracted to him and curious about who he is. I think, maybe, it's because of curiousity. He's got my mind curious as to who he is despite the fact that he's been totally open and honest with me.
He seems like just a really sweet, warm-hearted guy... a good guy.
I just hope that he doesn't break your heart.
Break my heart?! I haven't even gone out on a date yet with this guy and you already have him crushing me?!
Who is this ANONYMOUS? And why the neg. vibes?!!!
Ain't nobody going to pee on my parade... it may be pouring in Korea but I totally pumped about meeting him.
Fair enough. I hope it works out for you. From what I know about you via your homepage, you really are a good girl. I want you to have a good guy. Keep posting and tell me if he's worth all the hype.
Have fun on your date!
