2. Wow... we made quite the mess but had quiet the fun time making Yoon Jae's cake. I topped it off with chocolate icing, chocolate chips, smarties, and wrote a silly message in Korean on the top.
3. I was running a bit late for my bus but at the bus terminal I had a few minutes to spare and so I quickly rushed into the bathroom. I put my cake on the sink and then rushed into the private stale. CRASH went my cake! Oh... my... gosh!!! I came out to find that some little kid thought it'd be funny to hit it over. Obviously I didn't think it too funny. I knelt down beside my splattered cake and cried. The box had opened up and so chocolate chips and smarties went sprawling everywhere. My cake had instantly became a big, huge, ugly pancake. I can laugh now about it and say that at least it was leveled now but, at the time, I felt so disa
ppointed.
4. With make-up smudged on my face, I got on the bus and met up with Yoon Jae in Seoul. I greeted him with a cake I had bought at the terminal and the best fake smile I could come up with.
5. We didn't really have a particular plan in mind, I mean, I'm not from Seoul and so I didn't know where to go. All we knew is that we wanted to spend the day together, and that we did. We ended up wondering around for a bit and then heading to Han River where Yoon Jae then took me on a swan paddle boat ride in the river. He claimed he was the number one driver and so instead of helping him paddle, I sat back and relaxed. He crashed twice... hehehe.
6. Next, we went in search of something to eat. Yoon Jae ended up ge
tting us kind of lost and so we did a few circles and then ended up at this Chinese restaurant.
7. Did the whole cake thing... lit the candles, sang "Happy Birthday", made a wish, blew out the candles, and then ate it. Honestly, I thought my homemade cake was pretty impressive but wow, this cake was soooooo delicious.
8. I was rather nervous as to whether or not he'd like my birthday gift and so later on in the evening, as we drove around, he stopped the car and I asked him to open his presents. I never really know what to get a guy for a birthday present and actually, my gift became quite the debatable issue among me and my two friends, Hannah and Jae Min. Hannah had assured me that cologne was the way to go and so I bought him Marc Jacobs cologne. Jae Min, on the other hand, argued that I should get something different, some
thing on a "different" level, and so I did.... but that's my little secret... hehehe. Yoon Jae really liked my presents and so I was so happy. He kept on saying, "Amy, I can't thank you enough"... awesome!!!
9. As we sat in his truck, waiting for my bus at the end of the night, it kind of hit me: I really have an awesome guy here! I mean, he's super cute, he's smart, his English is great, he's nothing but a sweet gentleman to me,... he's a good, kind-hearted Christian boy. I myself am Christian too but I always considered Christian guys to be so judgemental and the worse hypocrites. But not Yoon Jae. Yoon Jae is pretty cool. I know I claim to be a good girl, and I stick by my claim, but I'm not ignorant to life. I use to volunteer at Sunday School (church) and I even had my own junior youth Sunday School class, but outside of my safe church walls, I've seen things, trust me. Working at a ghetto club for about 3 years opened my eyes to a lot of things. Some things that I wish I never saw, but, I did. After all, I did live in Toronto... Canada's most multi-cultural city where you're bound to see lots of "new" things.
10. Boarded the bus and headed back to Cheonan. Made my wish at 11:11 and then called up Yoon Jae to say goodnight.

sorry about the cake, but at least you scored with the cake :)
everything has a reason to happen, whether its falling in love to learn a lesson, or planting a flower so the soil has a purpose, i think everything has a reason.

Hey Beloved,
I'll be sure to tell Yoon Jae you said congrats. But as for the cake, no, I didn't get a picture... damn, I know.
Yo Bman,
Ya Beloved is pretty up-to-date with her homepage reading. Nothing passes that woman... hehehe.
Hmmm. . . bman--I don't know why you're so upset that I commented before you did. Did I miss something? Is there a prize for the first commenter on Amy's posts? Amy? Hmm? Hmm? Hmm?
Hey Beloved,
Don't ask me what that's all about... dry humour, I think.
Hehehe...
No prize.
