As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Wednesday, October 17

1. What's cool = waking up late on my day off knowing full well I can't afford to sleep in. Even cooler is waking up late to Mi Nam chewing on my hair... great.

2. What's even cooler than cool = Wasting cell phone minutes, racking up a bill, and wasting my time talking to someone who clearly has no point except for the fact that he thinks my world is wacked because, unlike his parents and other friends who fall at his "professional feet", my world doesn't revolve around him.

3. So cool = people who talk smack but clearly don't know what they're talking about. Sometimes I'm convinced they just want to hear their own voices. Other times, I think they talk to me because I'm the only sucker that will listen. Dang.

4. Yes.. I was in a weird mood today and so if you couldn't already sense my sarcasm, I'll tell ya here... it was a rough, super busy day. Tomorrow my midterm is due for submission to my director and tomorrow I will be deciding whether or not I'll be staying in Korea for another year. Needless to say, both those things kept me busy and stressed me out.

5. My new diet is killing me. After reading pages upon pages of T's "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle" book, I've decided to revamp my diet. I eat about 1500 calories a day spreed out among 5 meals... yup, that means I eat about every 3 hours, starting at 9am and finishing at 9pm. Each meal is about 300 calories, with the exception of the first (375) and the last (225) and protien is the key. I am definitely the chicken killer now! Hehehe...

6. Rage against the machines today as both my laptop computer and my cell phone decided to go a-wall today and malfunction. My cell phone is ok now but am definitely going to have to get my computer fixed. I'm not cool with unknown programs running in the background of my computer... hmmm... Ended up calling one of the Dankook assistants and asking if I could have a one-day extension on my midterm because of it, she said ok... cool.

7. With She Ann quickly approaching the due date for her baby, I eagerly scheduled a hair appointment with her today. She's so cute... and sooo big! She wouldn't let me take a picture of her though. I love She Ann's hair shop. I've converted her to L'Oreal and so she no longer sells any of those cheap brands now, mind ya, it also means her prices are not exactly cheap either... she's the luxury lady now! Hehehe...

8. No sooner had I left She Ann's place but then Junior Mint called me. I understood about 1/3 of what he said. He had told me to rush over to the club and so I did. I ran, thinking that something was wrong. When I got there though, he was lying on the couch eating. Turns out nothing was wrong, he just had a meeting to go to.

9. Just for jokes, I gave it a go on those Korean holla-hops at the gym today to see if I could give it a spin... I could but those silly balls on the inside of the hop really hurt. Oppa thought he'd be all funny and make fun of me, calling me a silly school girl, but jokes were on him when he couldn't do it. Newbie was a pro and Buff Boy was to shy to try... hehehe.

10. I haven't seen Young Chan for MONTHS now, since my birthday dinner party to be exact actually. He's leaving in two days for a golfing tour in Spain, followed by a tour in America and yet, despite not seeing him for months already, he's arguing with me saying that I HAVE to see him before he leaves on Sunday. He went on and on about it. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing I HAVE to do except eat, sleep, breath and poop. He seems to have this strange impression that I sit around on my butt all day... it's actually quite the opposite. Despite only being at Dankook for 4 hours a day, I do dedicate a huge part of my day to my boxing training.

My daily breakdown on time devoted to training:

1 hour = weight training
0.5 hour = traveling to and from my two gyms
1.5 hours = boxing training
0.5 hour = preparing my meals for the day, washing and ringing-out my hand wraps by hand
1 hour = studying... nutrition, boxing, fitness tips

Grand total = 4.5 hours a day, 6 days a week.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How come people can accept the fact the world isn't flat but can't except the fact that my world doesn't revolve around them?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
I never cease being dumbfounded by the unbelievable things people believe.
