As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Friday, June 6

1. Woke up super early only to remember that I don’t have school today. Hooray for Korean holidays which act as little teasers for the BIG holiday that is quickly approaching!!!

2. Started my day off with a good workout and so I left the fitness center with swollen abs, swollen shoulders, and swollen biceps that could kill any kind of competition in the changing room. And so, on that note, I acted like such a guy by stripping down to my knickers and gave the girls a show in the change room… hehehe. And by show, I mean that I strutted over to the scale, stepped up, and then did a quick glance-over at myself in the mirror. My body is still not where I want it to be but it’s feeling much stronger and I am a lot more comfortable in my skin now. My fellow gym rat buddies back home would have been proud… hehehe.

3. KBS has once again directed their interest to me and so today one of their writer’s called me. Somehow I managed to not only survive an eleven minute phone interview but I also managed to get her laughing. The conversation was rather hard though considering she didn’t speak a word of English and I had no body language to go on.

4. KBS ended up talking to Q on the phone and so they had about an hour interview with him, asking him a ton of questions about me; my life, boxing, life here in Korea, my job, and what not. Q told me later that he gave them my homepage address and… oh gosh… I feel rather shy now knowing that they saw Wednesday’s pictures… hehehe.

5. The other day I had a conversation with one of my coworkers, Robert, about time management and so it got me thinking. I work less hours now then I ever did but I feel so busy. Where does all my time go? Robert told me he use to study language on the subway route to school and so today I took my Korean study books to Min Kyoung’s hair shop.

6. Min Kyoung is quite the cute Korean girl. I think I’m about a year or so older than her but I love how she talks to me like I understand every Korean word she says. It means I really have to focus on what she is saying but I like how she doesn’t make me feel like a foreigner or ignorant to her language.

7. I GOT IT!!! Raced off to the movie theatre nice and early to pick up late night tickets for “Sex and the City”. The theatre was booming with crowds of people and so I had to wait 40 minutes for tickets, only to be carded… hehehe. I didn’t have any ID on me but there’s a Dankook student who works there and so she vouced for me. You have to be 18 or older to watch the movie and so, well, I was quite flattered considering I am almost 8 years older than the required age.

8. With tickets in hand and Q’s hand in my other hand, we raced off to go see “Sex and the City.” It rocked!!! Seriously, it WAS everything it was hyped up to be and, without giving too much away, I must say it made me laugh, cry, curiously sit in my seat, and feel warm-fuzzies in my tummy.

9. Top 10 favourite scenes (#1 being my most favourite)

10. Wedding dress photo shoot
9. Carrie reading to Charlotte’s daughter
8. Gift exchange scene with assistant
7. Auction scene
6. Samantha and meeting her neighbor
5. The Brooklyn Bridge
4. Poop scene
4. Carrie returning for her shoes
2. Carrie sorting out her what to take or trash from her closet
1. When Carrie’s limo stops and she confronts Big

10. After the movie Q and I wondered over to my house and chilled with Mi Nam. I tried to help Q bond with Mi Nam by having him take him for a walk, I think it worked. By the end of the evening the two were sitting pretty comfortably on the couch together… hehehe.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What do you think of the movie?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
I feel the same way as you feel about Botox. Painful and unnecessary.
-- the Character Samantha Jones talking about marriage in "Sex and the City" movie

I liked it, more than I thought I would, but it started to feel sooooo long. Maybe it's because I'm used to 30 minute episodes, but it started to just feel like the longest episode ever.

My number one favorite scene? Steve and his son sleeping exactly the same way. I AWED out loud.
