As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Monday, June 2

1. Ah sports students… I don’t what to say here except for “wow”!!! For some reason almost all of them showed up for class today despite the university policy that states 3 misses classes is an automatic fail. They all looked shocked today when I told them that out of our class of 26 students, only 13 will be allowed to do my exam.

2. My prized student in my morning sports class didn’t show up today and I really felt his absence in class. I was hoping that he was just running late but he never came. He’s not officially on my attendance and last week we came to the conclusion that we can’t pull the strings we wanted to pull and get him on my attendance sheet.

3. Very funny Mother Nature, for thinking you were going to leave me soaked to the bone in an all-white outfit in front of all my students, plus some. Jokes on you. One of my last period students rushed back to find me and to offer me his umbrella. One point for me, zero points for Mother Nature.. sweet.

4. Monsoon season looks like it has finally arrived. No sooner had the sun hit high noon but then the skies broke out into thunder and rain. An hour later though, the sun came out again… and then so did the rain.

5. Well it officially happened. I can’t walk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have used and abused my left foot too much, leaving me totally incapable of any kind of walking action. I stood up and discovered that I could no longer walk on my left foot. Sat back down, massaged the heck out of it and stood up again only to discover I still couldn’t bare the pain to step on it…. Ouch!!!

6. Ended up missing boxing on account that I was literally couch-ridden. Mi Nam was loving it cause it meant he got to jump all over me and eat my shoes, knowing that I couldn’t get up to shew him away from the trouble he was getting into.

7. It also meant I couldn’t take Mi Nam out for a walk and so… nasty… I had to let him pee in the house. He peed near the front door, which, had my Nike Shox shoes not been so conviently there, it would have been ok… nasty!!!

8. Ended up taking it easy tonight and studying Korean. I hoped around the house and even managed to somewhat recover enough so that I could go study at Q’s house with him.

9. Yes… I AM a die-hard fan of high heels… and despite the throbbing pain experienced earlier on today, I put on my black stelletto heels and walked out the front door. I couldn’t resist. Black leggings and my stellettos just go so nicely together… hehehe.

10. Got complimented on my s-line by the cutie behind the cash register at Coffee Bean. Q was quite proud of that… hehehe. Mind ya, I knew full well that the s in s-line really should have implied “stupid” and not “sexy” cause wearing heels tonight wasn’t exactly the smartest thing to do. I am a slave to fashion… apparently… hehehe.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What the heck is "Zwinky"?

A Zwinky is just a little cartoon avatar. You personalize it to your skin/eye/hair color and style it to look like yourself.

Hi Anonymous,
Thanks for the info. I keep on seeing a link pop up for it on my screen at work and was too nervous to press on the link... hehehe.
