Highlights of my Day... Monday, June 9

1. Classes were ultra short today on account that it was only review for the final exam next semester. Wow. I can’t believe this is the last official week of classes. Next week is the final and then it’ll be TEN weeks of eat, sleep, train – repeat! I’m looking forward to facing boredom and living in the gym. Sounds like heaven to me!!!

2. Today it was a packed house in my sports class despite the fact that about 2/3rds of them have already failed the class due to attendance.

3. After class, one of my sports students approached me, bowed, handed me a letter and then said sorry. I walked out with her to talk and felt so bad to tell her that she failed cause of poor attendance. When I reached my office I opened up her letter and read it. I was touched and wished I could have helped her but I can’t change Dankook’s rule, “Three missed classes is an automatic fail.” She’s a swimmer who’s hoping to score a scholarship. Dankook doesn’t have a swimming team and so she trains in her hometown from 6am to 8am everyday, and then rushes off to school.

4. KBS called again to set up an interview with me. Interview is set for this Wednesday at 1pm, after I finish my Korean studies. They want to meet me in Seoul so that they can also meet my Korean studies teacher. My teacher texted me today, all excited about me being on TV. I think she’s more exciting to me… hehehe. All these media people calling me and my manager only proves that I really need to have another fight… and soon!

5. Q picked me up from school and then we went to go check out a new restaurant. It was a trendy looking place with an awesome interior. The restaurant was better than the food but it was cheap so I can’t really complain.

6. Everyone was super hyper at boxing tonight. I think they must have ate sugar or something, seriously. They were wired. It made for a really hilarious time at boxing though.
7. Q’s totally right… I am always my happiest when I am at the boxing club.

8. Little Miss Sunshine was at training today and so I got a shoulder massage AND a back massage… sweet… hehehe. No one really talks to her but I think she’s awesome and so at the end of my training, when I was doing abs, I encouraged her to train with me.

9. Q had a seminar to attend but he met up with me later on in the evening for a late night stroll and ice cream. He’s been doing a lot of research lately about investments and I’m curious as to why. Secretly, I think he’s trying to prepare for marriage, I mean, I think he wants to be more financially secure not only now but in the future.

10. I’m not one really for reading the news but I like reading the Yahoo “odd news” on the Internet. Today I read about how cameras and technology are being used to catch thieves and criminals. One Japanese man noticed food repeatedly disappearing in his kitchen and so he set up a kind of spy camera that sent photos to his cell phone throughout the day. You’ll NEVER in a million years guess as to what he discovered… turns out there was a woman living in his closet who was stealing the food… hehehe. Notice the irony… the guy noticed food missing but failed to notice a woman, a full-grown PERSON, living in his closet… hehehe.
