As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of my Day... Saturday, June 14

1. Day 2 of filming and it’s killing my energy levels… and social life. I’m gonna need a weekend to relax from my weekend!!! I'm really liking the KBS crew members, they're awesome, but it's really tiring. Poor camera dude must be exhausted!!!

2. Nothing really seems natural about this mini showcase on my life... my so-called life, that is. Today I realized just how fake TV is when they told me to sit on the couch and talk to Mi Nam. What the heck could I talk to him about?!!! Ended up teasing him about his little weight issue and discussed dieting tips… hehehe. I know they want to ham it up for the TV show, I understand, but it still was kind of strange.

3. While sparring, I scored a sweet bruise on the nose. I had pinned my sparring partner in the corner when all of a sudden she tucked her head into her chin… ouch! I’m sure they must have caught the smacking nose on film!

4. Real stalkers… hiding under my blanket… hehehe. The KBS crew had told me to use the self-camera and film the inside of my house. It was kind of strange though… filming my house and being filmed while filming. Anyway, I thought it’d be interesting for viewers to see that I sleep Korean style, by that I mean I sleep on a mat. The crew was in my bedroom and so when I stepped up to film it, they hit the floor like rocks and quickly dashed under my sheets… hehehe.

5. Turns out the assistant in the crew was more fascinated by the fact that I have no panty lines than the fact that I look like a cross-stitcher, apparently, vs. a boxer… hehehe.

6. I wish I had come up with better answers for the questions they asked, but it was so hard to be put on the spot and then expected to answer in as much Korean as possible.

7. Oh gosh… on national TV, did I just say “I want to make Korean babies”?!!! It’s bad enough I said the “B” word (baby), but why the heck did I have to get English-happy and make it plural?!!!

8. KBS gave me homework… seriously!!! They gave me some lines to work on for tomorrow and told me to write a brief introduction about myself… nice.

9. By 8pm I was definitely Miss Little Cranky pants. It had been a long day, an interesting day, a fun day… but definitely a long day and I was in no mood to deal with any nose beyond the sound of my own breathing, in no mood to do anything beyond breath, and barely had any energy to do even that, breath that is. Today, we had filmed at 5 different locations, I had done about 4 different wardrobe changes, and poor little Mi Nam was exhausted from having them all in the house. And so on that note, Q and I had a quiet night with Mi Nam totally passed out by our sides.

10. Well, correction, it wasn’t such a quiet night. Q came over and noticed some bottles on one of my selves. They had been given to me by Young Chan from when he went to Europe. Anyways, Q said he wanted to taste it’s contents. “I just want one glass” he said, and so, I poured him a glass of vodka. He’ll learn… Korean soju and vodka from Finland can’t compete.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Mi Nam hasn't pooped all day cause of the excitement, should I be worried?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
I wanna make Korean babies.
-- Me... apparently (must have had too many shots to the head)

Interesting about the news crew filming you the past few days! Would love to see it if you can make it happen.

Funny they made you talk to Mi Nam. Maybe they're going to edit it to make you look like a crazy person lol.

Yo Becca,
Ya, it was pretty interesting. Kind of draining, like having to tie my boxing boots like 6 times for one shot, but it was definitely a cool experience. I'll see about taping it and then adding it here and on my YouTube.
Me crazy?!... a bit... but aren't we all?! Hehehe... ya, should be interesting as to how they edit it. They have SO much filming of me to work with.

Hey Jaz,
Hehehe... I totally know what you mean... good pun!
Thanks girl for the compliments and props. Did you notice I did your 20 questions thinga-ma-bob from your homepage?
Checked out your homepage... love the commercial you did. You look way too cute in it!!!
